It’s often said after something good happens as an expression of praise to God. Other times it’s said as a general statement of worship. How often do you think it’s said after something bad happens? I would guess not so much. But if we understand how God is good, we should say it even then.
Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. Genesis 50:19-21There is no satisfying answer to the question, “Why does God allow evil, pain and suffering?” We all experience them. Joseph shows us it’s possible to see God bring a good outcome from what others intend as evil. Don’t let the evil that happens to you blind you so that you miss seeing that God is good, all the time.
