Anyone Can Be Blessed with God’s Best

Those of us who live in America are blessed with lives of comfort only imagined by many in other countries. I am in India now and the contrast with the USA could not be greater. Although India certainly has rich people equal to that of any country, the majority of people live on so little it is hard to understand how they get along. I have seen this in homes I have visited and in talking with people, particularly people in ministry. Yet I have also noticed something wonderful. Even though they don’t have much of this worlds good, they have what matters most, God’s best.

4 Aspects of God’s Best Available to All

  1. Access to the God. There are places in the world that are hostile to the God, yet God is still present in those places. India is in some respects a spiritually dark country, but there are tens of thousands of men and women who have devoted their lives to sharing God’s love, the message of salvation and truth to others. The Gospel is being preached, lives are changing and churches are growing in India. 2 Peter 3:9
  2. God’s grace and mercy. God desires to show His love and mercy to all who will seek him. This is one of the greatest blessings of life. The believer’s here tell stories of God answering prayers for healing, for finances, for relational issues and most everything else we pray about in America. Hebrews 4:16
  3. Spiritual blessings. Ephesians 1:3 tells us that God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Even though we won’t full realize those blessings until we get to heaven, there are many we enjoy right now. In particular I’m thinking of the fruit of the Spirit. We have the spiritual blessing of the peace of God available to us at any moment in time. This is true of us no matter where we live. I have seen just as much joy in the hearts of believers here as I've seen anywhere.
  4. Encouragement and equipping. There are times we need a loving friend to help us through a rough time. There are times we need some prodding to get moving when we are stuck. There are times when we need help to continue to grow in our Christian lives. God has provided people in our lives with gifts in those areas to give us what we need, just when we need it. The church is where we find those and other gifts at work. It’s clear the church is functioning as God intended it in India. Hebrews 10:25
Sometimes we feel left out of God's blessings. Yet God's best is always available to you. Some would say it isn't fair that the USA has so much material wealth. That may be true, but it is clear that God is quite fair is giving out and making available what really matters, His best. How has God blessed you with His best? I Voted Today And Was I Surprised!

I Voted Today Yes, even though it’s a week and a half before official election day, I voted today. Illinois has early voting. Surely you know our motto in Illinois, “Vote early and vote often!” (That’s a joke for my literal readers.) I consider it a God-given responsibility to vote. There aren’t any verses in the

My journey of faith started when I was nine years old when I realized that Jesus died and rose again to pay for my sins. At the age of thirteen I felt the call of God on my life for ministry.

I have been fortunate to work in the marketplace for over ten years and in full-time Christian ministry for over thirty years.

My passion is to teach God's Word in such a way that it is easy to understand and so that God uses it to bring about life change in those who hear it.

It is my greatest joy to see God work through me to produce fruit for His glory!
